Walker Ham – Annuity Marketing Consultant
After graduating from Appalachian State University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Computer Information Systems, Walker joined the family at Financial Independence Group in Cornelius, North Carolina. Walker started as the Head Recruiter for the Securities Division of Financial Independence Group. During that time Walker was in charge of bringing new registered representatives to the broker dealer of Financial Independence Group. After two successful years, Walker made the move to the Annuity Division at Financial Independence Group as one of their Marketing Consultants. Since that move, Walker has built a strong book of Advisors, and helps them on a daily basis with everything from complicated case design and product selection to overall business planning and augmentation.
Walker currently resides in the Lake Norman Area of North Carolina with his wife, Candace, and their three beautiful children, Connor, Ella, and Spencer (coming July 2012). When not assisting his advisors with their needs, Walker can be found coaching soccer for North Mecklenburg Soccer Club. Walker has coached at North Mecklenburg Soccer Club for over 8 years now, has won numerous state and regional tournaments with the teams he has coached, and has obtained a National Coaching Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Melissa Lukacik – Case Manager Annuity Division
Melissa, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Journalism. Prior to joining FIG as an Annuity Case Manager, Melissa was employed by LexisNexis as a Criminal Records Specialist. In that capacity, she was responsible for investigating criminal records for various companies, ensuring all information was accurate while adhering to client-specific special requirements and state guidelines.

Courtney Schramm – Contracting Specialist
Courtney Schramm, a native of Boise ID, graduated from Brigham Young University in April 2012 and relocated to Charlotte with her husband. In July of 2012, Courtney joined the FIG team as a Contracting Specialist. With over five years’ experience working in different areas of office administration, including large event planning, Courtney has excelled in the contracting department because of her attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Her responsibility to oversee the progression of agent’s contracts, enable new business to be processed correctly. She enjoys working with people and finding new ways to make processes more efficient.
